Johnson Products Company Celebrates National Domestic Violence Awareness Month with

2nd Annual No Excuse! Stop the ABUSE!TM Initiative

National Movement Promotes the Importance of Genuine and Gentle Treatment to Women of Color.

New York, NY – October 8, 2010: Johnson Products Company, Inc. (JPC), broadens its national No Excuse! Stop the Abuse! initiative today in support of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  For a second year in a row, JPC will use its signature brand, Gentle Treatment,® to increase awareness of the issue of domestic abuse of women of color as well as to empower women to take a stand against this type of treatment.  The No Excuse! Stop the Abuse! initiative consists of JPC’s support of women’s shelters and foundations with multi-year grants, customized events and the national distribution of 75,000 Gentle Treatment® No Excuse! Stop the Abuse!™ purple bracelets inside specially marked relaxer kits.  At the same time, additional bracelets will be distributed at 1,160 Sally Beauty stores.  With every purchase of a Gentle Treatment® No-Lye Conditioning Crème Relaxer kit, JPC will donate $1 to benefit shelters and foundations that serve, save and improve the lives of domestic abuse victims. The company will also launch a Website to provide resources as well as promote a national campaign to highlight Gentle Treatment®“Sheroes.”
